About the Author:

Commissioned as a Colson Fellow in May 2021, Tio Sam is also a U.S. Army Veteran and a Special Agent with the Department of Defense with over 32 years of experience chasing terrorists and spies in the U.S. and hot spots around the globe, including in both Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan respectively. Tio Sam has published articles in military journals and periodicals on leadership and intelligence topics.

Tio Sam's passionate testimony is a powerful and gripping account of his battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and how he overcame those challenges that caused him a dark and hopeless worldview by improving his physical, mental and spiritual health! He is now determined and committed to helping others do the same!

Tio Sam was also featured on Grunt Style's 'American Grit' Internet talk show where his unofficial title as "Cibolo's Favorite Son" was coined by the show's host.
