Nestled quietly along historic old Main Street, the 1908 House of Wine caters to the discriminating wine and craft beer aficionado, while promoting the remarkable appeal of Cibolo’s new and exciting downtown destinations. Fun-seeking crowds can enjoy today’s modern atmosphere, yet still experience the rumbling freight trains that serve as a reminder to Cibolo’s rich historical past. Our enchanting old residence at 207 N. Main was built as a private home in 1908, for a time even serving as a boarding house. Imagine the amazing conversations these old walls must have heard! We’ve tried to respect that original character by utilizing the genuine interior walls and sourced materials from the early 1900’s, but incorporated with a novel modern flair. This includes bead board, tin, and interior exterior doors dating back to the late 19th century, as well as other heritage items like cast iron Singer Sewing factory stools, ammunition boxes, and couches from other periods. One might envision these old couches have had their fair share of exceptional memories, too--but we heartily encourage you to incorporate your own contemporary experiences. Just observe proper decorum, wink, wink—others can see you!
